Graduated from the Faculty of Biology at Odesa I.I. Mechnikov State University in 1995. In 1998 completed postgraduate studies at Odesa State University. In 2002 successfully defended the dissertation. In 2002 was awarded the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences (Ph.D. equivalent) in specialty 03.00.20 – Biotechnology. In 2002 was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Microbiology and Virology. Since 2008, has served as the Scientific Secretary of the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Biotechnology and a member of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Biology. Serves as the Guarantor of the Bachelor's Educational and Professional Program in specialty G21 "Biotechnology and Bioengineering."

Head of the "Biology" section of the jury for Stages II–III of the All-Ukrainian Competition-Defense of Research Papers by pupils - members of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (from 2013 to the present). Head of the jury for Stage III of the All-Ukrainian Biology Olympiad for Schoolchildren (from 2007 to the present).

Author of more than 150 scientific publications, including 8 articles indexed in Web of Science/Scopus databases, 25 educational and methodological publications, articles in peer-reviewed professional journals of Ukraine, and 13 patents.

Research Interests: Biotechnology, microbiology, human microecology.
