Specialized Academic Council D 41.051.02 works at the Faculty of Romance-Germanic Philology. By the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 975 of July 11, 2019, the specialized academic council was granted the right to conduct defense of PhD and doctoral theses in the specialties 10.02.01 - Ukrainian language and 10.02.04 - German languages ​​for the period up to 31.12.2020. During the reporting period, the Specialized Scientific Council held 12 meetings (3 doctoral theses in the specialty 10.02.01 - Ukrainian language) and 9 PhD theses (8 in the specialty 10.02.04 - Germanic languages ​​and 1 in the specialty 10.02.01 - Ukrainian).

In addition, the leading scientists of the faculty manage the PhD theses and advise doctoral theses in 7 specialties:

• 10.01.05 - comparative literary studies
• 10.02.05 - Romance languages
• 02.10.15 - general linguistics
• 13.00.04 - theory and methods of vocational education

• at the Department of Foreign Literature there is an art room, which became the venue for lectures of the teachers of the department, in particular Professor Silantyeva V., on the history of art and literature.

Scientific conferences:

The main event of 2019 was holding the 3rd International Francophone Conference in Ukraine "Languages, Sciences and Practices" with the support of the French Embassy in Ukraine and the University Agency of France, attended by 210 specialists from different fields, 40 of them foreign participants from 25 countries. Conference materials are published.

The Department of Foreign Languages ​​of the Faculties of Natural Sciences held the 1st International (V Online) Scientific and Practical Internet Conference “Research and implementation of modern models of foreign language teaching in the educational process: linguistic and methodological and international perspectives”, based on the materials of which the collection of papers was published.
