Associate Professor of the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Biotechnology at ONU, Ph.D. degree in biology with a specialization in microbiology, academic title of senior researcher in microbiology, headed the research and technical laboratory at the Zabolotny Institute of Microbiology and Virology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Center for Collective Use of Unique Scientific Equipment, member of the organizing committee of the annual International Bio Summer School held at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Biotechnology.

Internships: EMBO Practical Course “Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics”, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark; Erasmus+ Higher Education: mobility of students and staff. Chemical and Biological Center, Umea University, Sweden. School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences, University of Brighton, UK; DAAD Fellowship, Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research, Saarland. Research project: Spore-forming bacteria isolated from deep-sea sediments of the Black Sea as a source of new biologically active compounds.

Research interests: Microorganisms, biologically active compounds, methods of isolation, purification, identification.
