Graduated from the Biological Faculty of Biology of I.I. Mechnikov National University of Odesa in 1993, since 2010 he has been a senior lecturer at the Department of hydrobiology and general ecology. On the basis of the biological faculty of ONU, he created an aquarium, initiated and conducts courses for aquarists under the "Decorative fish farming" program. Takes part in the organization and conduct of the International School-seminar on the basis of ONU "Keeping fish in artificial conditions".

The author of about 20 scientific publications, 3 articles in scientometric databases (Web of Science, Scopus), 4 educational and methodological publications, articles in specialized publications of Ukraine.

Scientific interests: ichthyology, fish ecology, fish behavior, reproductive biology of fish, chronobiology, tropical freshwater ecosystems
