He graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Odesa I. I. Mechnikov State University in 1983, in 2011 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of historical sciences with a specialty 07.00.07 history of science and technology (Diploma DK 004530 dated 17.11.2012) at the specialized council of DTEUT (O.P. Borodin Research Center for the History of Science and Technology). Performs the duties of the head of the Museum of History of ONU named after I.I. Mechnikova, director of the Center for Research on the History of Education, Science and Technology in the South of Ukraine named after V.I. Lipsky. Excellent education.

Author of more than 140 publications, co-author of the monograph "Odesa National University named after I.I. Mechnikov: history and modernity (1865-2015)", the author of a number of articles in the biographical dictionary "Professors of Odesa (Novorossiysk) University" and "Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine".

Scientific interests: history of science and education, history of urban forestry, dendrology.
