Biography:

• 2001: graduated from Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University (MA Honors in English language and literature);
• 2009 – present: works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages for Sciences Faculties;
• 2014: defended a PhD thesis on ‘Communicative symbiosis of verbal and nonverbal signs in English-language Stock Exchange discourse: linguo-semiotic aspect’ (specialism 10.02.04 – Germanic Languages) in Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University;
• 2015-2019: was engaged to work on the BC English for Universities project in the framework of which there were developed and implemented the innovative Model Curricula and Syllabi on subjects ‘English for Specific Purposes (ESP)’ and ‘English for Academic Purposes (EAP)’ in accordance with the requirements of Law of Ukraine ‘On Higher Education’ and National Framework of Competencies. Currently the Model Curricula and Syllabi are used by non-language University departments in education process.
• 2015-2019: participated in in-depth training and learning activities provided by British Council in Ukraine within the project ‘English for Universities’, was awarded the respective certificates;
• Since 2017 – present: is one of the organizers and instructors of Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University project aimed at B2-level training, assessment and certification of ONU University faculty as well as other Universities’ staff in Odessa.

Sphere of scientific interests: EFL teaching methods, styles, and strategies at University level, professional competencies formation in FL teaching and learning, English for Academic Purposes, English for Specific Purposes, Classes Observation and Feedback, ICT teaching and learning, Problems of Translation Theory and Practice.
