Irina Popik
PhD in Linguistics, associate professor
Biography:
- In 1998 graduated from Odessa State I.I. Mechnikov University, Faculty of Romance-Germanic Philology, majoring in the English language and literature
- In 2004 defended PhD thesis on "Lexical-semantic field "gestures" in the English language and speech (based on dictionaries and texts)", speciality 10.02.04 – German languages in the Specialized scientific council K.41.051.02 at Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University.
- In 2008 was awarded the academic title of associate professor of the Chair of lexicology and stylistics of the English language at ONU named after I.I. Mechnikov.
Educational activities:
- English as the main language;
- Fundamentals of academic research;
- Lexicology of the English language.
Membership in associations: Ukrainian Non-Governmental Organization "UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF COGNITIVE LINGUISTICS AND POETICS"
Areas of scientific interest: linguistics of the text, communicative linguistics, nonverbal communication, structural linguistics.
