Biography:

• In 1998 graduated from Odessa Mechnikov National University, Department of the English Language and Literature;
• Since 1998 is an Assistant of the English Grammar Department;
• In 2010 defended the candidate thesis "Contradictory relations in a composite sentence in modern English" (10.02.04 – Germanic languages) in Odessa Mechnikov National University;
• In 2014 received the academic title of Associate Professor at the English Grammar Department;
• Since 2008 is a deputy chair of the English Grammar Department for science;
• Since 2019 is the head of the trade union bureau of the Romance-Germanic Faculty;
• Since 2022 is the Vice Dean of the Romance-Germanic Faculty;
• Since 2023 is a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal "Opera in onomastica" (Index Copernicus).

Teaching activity:

• Practical grammar of the English Language;
• English as a second foreign language;
• Grammatical features of a simple sentence;
• Non-finite forms of the verb;
• Realization of the modality category.

Membership: a member of the Ukrainian Union of the Higher School Germanists.

Reseach interests: functional linguistics (syntax and semantics of the simple and composite sentences; the categories of modality and personality; gender aspect) and communicative pragmatics (speech acts, cross-cultural communication et al.).
