REPORT OF THE XIV S.M. VINOGRADSKY CONGRESS OF THE SOCIETY OF UKRAINIAN MICROBIOLOGISTS

The XIV Congress of the Society of Ukrainian Microbiologists with the participation of ukrainian and foreign scientists was held by Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University from 11 to 15 September 2017. More than 200 microbiologists, virologists, biotechnologists from Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Italy, Moldova, and Belarus attended the Congress.

Elections of the President of the SMU, the governance, the chairman and members of the Audit Commission took place in frames of the work of the Congress. The Congress was held in the form of plenary reports and sessions in the areas of "Ecology of microorganisms and biodiversity", "Medical, veterinary microbiology and immunology", "Microbial biotechnology, nanobiotechnology", "Physiology and biochemistry of microorganisms", "Bioinformatics and systematics of microorganisms", "Virology, molecular biology of microorganisms". The summing up of the contest of young participants' reports and their rewards took place at the end of the Congress.
