The programme included a series of working meetings with the leadership of key units of the University of Gdańsk. The ONU delegation held discussions with the leadership of the Faculty of Oceanography and Geography, headed by Prof. Katarzyna Smolarz; the Faculty of Law and Administration, headed by Dean Prof. Wojciech Zalewski; the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, headed by Dean Prof. Marcin Marciniak; and the Faculty of Social Sciences, headed by Dean Prof. Michał Harciarek. The delegation also met with representatives of the University of Gdańsk Education Office and with the team responsible for implementing the University Strategy.

The meetings addressed the organisation and quality assurance of the educational process, strategic university management, the use of modern teaching technologies, digitalisation and the application of artificial intelligence in education and research, as well as opportunities for expanding academic mobility, joint research and international projects.

A particularly important part of the visit was the meeting between ONU Rector Vyacheslav Truba and the Rector of the University of Gdańsk, Prof. Piotr Stepnowski. The two rectors discussed prospects for further developing the partnership between the universities, strengthening cooperation between faculties and administrative units, implementing joint educational and research initiatives, and expanding academic exchanges.

The working visit helped identify specific areas of common interest between the two universities and outline further directions for cooperation between Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University and the University of Gdańsk.
