Mrs. Romano represented the concert-program of Italian Baroque music in our city and invited students to attend its’ Ceremonial Opening in Odessa Opera House.

The visit started with the meeting with the ONU Rector, Prof. Igor M. Koval, in his office. Mrs. Romano, in her turn, surprised with her knowledge of the University history and activity.

The Master-class took place in the ONU conference hall. Among the Nancy Romano’s guests were ONU students-historians, psychologists and philosophers, also lecturers and outstanding figures.

Nancy Romano confirms: “To speak about music is like to speak about food: One has to listen and to taste”. That is why the lection was composed of the passages of the eternal classical compositions of Rome and Venice music schools.

“It is like ice-cream and pizza: they can’t be compared,” – in such way Nancy Romano characterizes these two music directions.
Speaking about the Rome Baroque Music, it was shown the conservative and spiritual character of such music.
Unlike the Rome Baroque Music School, the Venice one was flourishing in the free independent republic, in the atmosphere full of celebrations.
During the lection students had the possibility not only to listen to, but also to see in their imagination the Vivaldi’s compositions due to the bright and emotional approach of Mrs. Nancy M. Romano.
