ONU Rector Viacheslav Truba Participates in the Polish-Ukrainian Rectors’ Forum in Kraków

On 14–17 October 2026, Professor Viacheslav Truba, Rector of Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University, participated in a visit to Kraków as part of a delegation of the Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine.

The visit took place within the framework of the project “Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation of Rectors’ Representative Organisations for the Improvement of Higher Education Institutions”, implemented by Warsaw University of Technology with financial support from the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

At AGH University of Krakow, the Ukrainian delegation met with the university leadership and participated in a Polish-Ukrainian rectors’ seminar and discussion. The following day, the participants visited the ACC Cyfronet AGH computing centre to learn about its operations and toured the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum.

The visit provided a valuable platform for professional dialogue between the leaders of Ukrainian and Polish universities and contributed to strengthening academic cooperation.
