Vice-President of the European Parliament Eva Kopacz emphasised the importance of EU efforts to integrate Ukrainian higher education into the European educational framework. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykhailo Vinnytskyi, along with representatives from the European Commission's departments Judith Orland and Svein Hullstein, who participated remotely, underscored significant aspects of this integration process.
Following the meeting, Odesa National I.I.Mechnikov University endorsed a joint statement on strategic partnership. This statement, representing Ukrainian and European higher education institutions engaged in European university alliances, appeals to the European Commission for financial support to foster collaboration between Ukrainian higher education institutions and European university alliances. Subsequently, representatives from Ukrainian and Polish universities jointly visited the European Parliament.
