On October 3, Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University (ONU) hosted Odesa’s first UN General Assembly Model, organized jointly by ESN Odesa and the Ukrainian Diplomatic Platform with the university's support.

Over 65 participants stepped into the roles of delegates representing various countries for the day, working across three committees. They discussed pressing international issues, engaged in negotiations, advocated for their nations' positions, and sought common solutions.

The event offered a fantastic opportunity not only to gain hands-on experience in diplomacy but also to hone skills in communication, critical thinking, negotiation, and teamwork.

For ONU, hosting this event marked another step forward in fostering an international environment, supporting student initiatives, and engaging young people in discussions on global challenges. The event brought together proactive students eager to gain a deeper understanding of international cooperation mechanisms and the role of diplomacy in the modern world.
