Bachelor of International Economic Relations program of the Faculty of International Relations, Political science and Sociology, has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the program. This program prepares students to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, which has become the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world.
Entry into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that Odessa National I.I. Mechnikov University curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well-suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA examinations. Through participation in this program, Odessa National I.I. Mechnikov University is eligible to receive a certain number of student scholarships for the CFA Program each year.
About the Affiliated Program
Opened in 1992, a student training program in "International Economic Relations" is one of the most prestigious programs in Odessa. The program provides students with a comprehensive formation through economic courses complemented with strong financial analytical and professional foreign language skills to understand the business environment and international economic relations. This program consists of eight semesters and has several areas of specialization, international finance and investment being the core disciplines. Professors teaching at the program got education and training at the world top universities and maintain professional relationships with foreign colleagues. Teams of students of the specialty take an active part in the annual research competitions “CFA research challenge”.
