AGREEMENT
ABOUT
SCIENTIFIC-EDUCATIONAL COLLABORATION
BETWEEN _____________________________
AND THE ODESSA I.I.MECHNIKOV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY (Odessa, UKRAINE)
SUBJECT OF THE AGREEMENT
The Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University (Ukraine) and the ………………….. agreed to establish scientific-educational and humanitarian relations between both Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) in order to satisfy the needs of developing education and science in both universities, in order to inform better each other about the state of cultural and social problems in both countries, and to establish unified academic criteria in science and education within Europe.
PART I
EDUCATIONAL COLLABORATION
ARTICLE 1
Both sides agreed to collaborate within all scientific directions and educational disciplines, which are studied in both HEIs and which are of interest for professionals in each of them.
ARTICE 2
Collaboration in the fields of education, didactics, and pedagogy is to be realized by the way of bilateral visits from both HEIs with the aim of improving the pedagogical (educational) activity of HEI subdivisions (faculties, chairs). Exchanges are to be realized through participation in seminars, conferences, lectures, work in libraries, labouratories, chairs, institutes, etc.
ARTICLE 3
Collaboration in the educational sphere is to be realized by the currency-free exchange of methodical literature, text-books, publications, and electronic information, etc.
Participation in international programs also forms a part of educational collaboration.
ARTICLE 4
ONU and ……………………….. consider it to be reasonable to elaborate a mutual principle which will make it possible to realize students, postgraduate students exchanges for different terms of education aiming the right for the diploma degree.
PART II
SCIENTIFIC COLLABORATION
ARTICLE 5
Both sides consider it to be rational that professionals in both HEIs will have a possibility to be mutualy acquainted with scientific achievements and to establish individual creative contacts in directions favourable for each of the HEI.
ARTICLE 6
Both sides agreed to promote creative exchanges between professionals of both HEIs by means of visits and scientific work in the foreign HEI (scientific research laboratories, libraries, chairs, institutes).
ARTICLE 7
Both sides consider it to be reasonable to publish their common scientific works, almanacs, proceedings, etc.
ARTICLE 8
Both sides agreed to support the decisions of their Scientific Councils (Senates) about mutual post graduate and doctoral education and to invite foreign professionals (scientific supervisors) to their Scientific Councils sittings.
PART III
HUMANITARIAN COLLABORATION
ARTICLE 9
Both sides consider it to be important to collaborate and to render varied mutual assistance in the sphere of problems common to all mankind (human rights, environment protection, rendering of the humanitarian assistance, etc).
ARTICLE 10
Both sides agreed to carry out joint cultural, sport events (festivals, competitions and so on) and joint leisures for students, post graduate students, professors and researchers.
PART IV
ORGANIZATION AND FINANCING OF THE COLLABORATION
ARTICLE 11
Both sides agreed that this is a frame Agreement and all the events that are stipulated by Parts I – III of it are to be realized on the basis of Working Programmes, which are to be thoroughly and mutually discussed by the representatives of both HEIs and approved in advance by the first-level administrators of each HEI. The financing of all events is to be fulfilled on the basis of specific agreements approved for every separate case. Realization of any event may be postponed or suspended for an indefinite term in case of financial problems in one of the HEI’s.
ARTICLE 12
The financing of research programmes is to be realized according to separate agreements, which are to be signed for every of collaboration programmes, after taking into account the presence of mutual intellectual contribution, capabilities for equipment and devices’ exploitation, etc.
PART V
CONCLUDING
ARTICLE 13
Both sides agreed that the given Agreement is prepared in the languages of both countries (two examples in each of the languages), is signed by the first-level administrators of both HEIs, has the juridical addresses of both sides, and becomes legal from the moment of signing.
ARTICLE 14
The signed copies of the Agreement may be mutually exchanged both during visits and by ordinary mail.
ARTICLE 15
The given Agreement is valid for the term of 5 years and may be extended if both sides will agree to do so in writing.
