Boosting the role of HEIs in the industrial transformation towards the Industry 4.0 paradigm in Georgia and Ukraine (HEIn4)
Congratulations to the Department of Management and Innovations, the staff of which formed a project proposal, with the victory in the competition of ERASMUS + projects from Odessa National Mechnikov University!
During 2020 - 2022 it is planned:
- Acquaintance with teaching methods and training programs of the European Union in the context of Industry 4.0;
- Development of methodological concept and content of educational programs;
- Familiarization with the practices of building the capacity of free economic zones in the context of cooperation with industry;
- Development of a case study;
- Development of short-term courses for industry;
- Development of a new discipline for master students "Business Management in Industry 4.0";
- Creation of training laboratories "Virtual Enterprise";
- Development of content and capacity to provide consulting services.Comprehensive industrial transformation in the frames of a process often referred to as the 4th Industrial
Revolution (or Industry 4.0) is hindered by the disproportion between availability of relevant technologies (such as automation, connectivity, robotisation, industrial internet of things and other innovations) and lack of experience in the re-setting of a business model.
Our project aims to bridge this gap by reinforcing the role of HEIs in Ukraine and Georgia in assisting the 4th Industrial Revolution through:
- building capacities in HEIs (human resource and institutional units);
- delivery of tailored business management courses for industrial personnel;
- launching consultancy services for the industrial companies (large and SME);
- setting new taught modules for Master students (Management).
In this project the EU partners provide expertise in capacity building, setting business management courses (for industrial staff and for students). This shall be done by hosting 2 training visits (academics and HEIs administrators), participation in dissemination events in Ukraine and Georgia, supervision and advice in delivery of the outcomes (Case Studies, tutorials, course content).
Ukrainian and Georgian partners will develop and launch new courses for industry and for students, set new or reconfigure existing units responsible for collaboration with enterprises, deliver Case Studies and tutorials, host dissemination events.
Project duration is 3 years - from 2020 through 2022.
