The administration is constantly working body of operative management of the university. It is created according to Position about the supreme national an educational institution and the Charter of university and acts the bases of the university of Regulations about approved by the rector administration ONU I.I.Mechnikova.
The basic purpose of administration is the decision of the major questions of the organization of management and coordination abilities to live of university.
At sessions of administration the question of the control and check of performance of laws of Ukraine, Decrees and orders of the President of Ukraine, orders and Decisions of the Cabinet of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and a science of Ukraine, orders and orders of the rector of university, a question of the organization, coordination and the control of work of structural subitems, performance of scientific, educational, methodical plans and problems, financial and economic and a labour discipline and etc.
The management of administration is carried out by the rector. The quantity and personal structure of members of administration are approved by the rector once a year.
Into structure of administration enter: the rector, pro-rectors, directors of institutes, deans of faculties, directors tutorially-centres of science, heads of structural subitems (chiefs of departments, services), the chief accountant, the assistant to the rector.
The agenda of sessions of administration is formed on the basis of perspective and current programs and plans on representation of pro-rectors, chiefs of departments and services, heads of structural subitems. The list of questions on session of administration is made by the assistant to the rector. In case of need officials whom concerns discussed questions are invited to session.
The decision of administration are made out by the report and receive the status of requirements, obligatory for performance. The coordination control over performance of decisions of administration is carried out by the assistant to the rector, and also responsible persons when due hereunder.
As the facts testify, practical results of work of members of administration to the full answer a definite purpose and functionality to directions.

By results of work of administration a number of the important decisions and programs has been accepted. In particular - in 2000:
- In January the question and the accepted program of wide introduction in educational process of a computer supply with information which meets modern requirements have been considered;
- The prepared and signed labour collective agreement profcommite with administration of university;
- In February there was a declared order of the rector on assignment Prof. Century of M. Kotsko the dean of biological faculty, and also approves A.R.Gudzenko's nominee on a post of the editor-in-chief of the newspaper " the Odessa university ";
- The program about preparation and celebrating of the 135 anniversary establishment the ODE is accepted (Novorossisk his imperial grandeur) which it has been executed in May; it is thanked officially Minister of Education and a science of Ukraine for high and qualitative organizational work the ODE to them. I.I.Mechnikova in connection with carrying out ІV the International congress ukrainists;
- In March the program of perspective development of the juridical education at university (a way and prospects of improvement ELF) is considered and approved;
- The question on participation of representatives of the university trade-union organization in general ukranian conferences is discussed;
- In April the question on a condition of work Nikolaev for 1999 and prospects of its further development is considered;
- In June the condition of performance of recommendations MES concerning introduction of programs of preparation of masters behind corresponding specialities is discussed;
- In October the Program of celebrating in occasion of granting university of the status " the Odessa national university is confirmed by I.I.Mechnikova " (the Decree of the President of Ukraine 451 from September, 11th 2000 y,);

- In April the project " Conceptual questions concerning reorganization of system licensing and accreditations of educational institutions of Ukraine " is discussed;
- In September new Regulations ONU are considered and approved by I.I.Mechnikova, their substantive provisions and actions on practical realization;
- The condition of work of postgraduate study and doctoral studies ONU is analysed by I.I.Mechnikova and directions improvement of this work;
- The order of introduction of requirements of the decision of the Cabinet of Ukraine " About personal grants to students, post-graduate students, doctorants "is discussed;
- In October results of work ІІ congress of workers of education of Ukraine and the basic directions of prospects improvement of education - such as equal access to qualitative education are examined; the license and monopoly in education; remote education; economic education;
- In December the question on the further strategy of the edition of the newspaper " the Odessa university " and results of its work for 70 years is discussed;
- Actions on preparation for accreditation ONU are considered by I.I.Mechnikova in 2004;
- The question on cooperation with CB "Privat Bank" and signing of a bilateral agreement from maintenance of the salary project is discussed;
in 2003:
- In January separate questions from organizational work of management of the international cooperation and external economic relation ONU are considered by it. I.I.Mechnikova, states corresponding remarks;

- The question on the organization of coordination of scientific work in the separated subitems with a scientific part of university is considered;
- In July results of performance of the Plan of measures on liquidation of the lacks revealed and results of elimination of infringements of financial and economic activity of structural subitems of university are considered;
- The question on purpose of grants of the Supreme Rada and the President of Ukraine to students of university is considered;
- The complex of actions on realization of order MONU concerning reorganization Nikolaev NSC in institute is approved;
- In September the question on preparation of the editions devoted of 140-th anniversary ONU by it is considered. I.I.Mechnikova; actions on preparation for celebrating the 140 anniversary of university are approved;
- The question on a role student's profcom in organizational actions on improvement of conditions residing at hostels and performance of requirements of the internal schedule is discussed;
- Regulations about the order of the organization and carrying out of tenders in ONU are approved by I.I.Mechnikova;
