Recreational sports camp "Chernomorka"
The recreation camp "Chernomorka" is situated in the resort area of Odessa, on the sea shore on the place of a former German village "Lustdorf". The territory of the camp comprises 4 hectares and is richly planted. Director of the camp "Chernomorka" is L.V. Malikov.
The camp has been functioning from 1966 as a students sports camp. The first chief of the camp was a professor of the faculty of physical education A.Y. Lupolovel. At that time the camp contained 200 vacationers. In the 70's 2 two-storeyed buildings were constructed together with 12 wooden Finnish houses each for 12 persons. During the 80's the cinema, office buildings, a four-storeyed house, the restaurant were constructed.
Nowadays up to 800 employees and students of the University may recreate themselves at the constantly improving camp "Chernomorka". During the summer season the camp receives about 2000 people, including 100 vacationers of MSU named after M.V. Lomonosov.
In August and September conferences, symposia and seminars are held at the camp. The camp is also given for practice to students from geological-geographical faculty.
